Saint Mary’s Bay has been an industrial place for 150 years and therefore is severely polluted. Ecosystem-based coastal structures not only protect the shore but also clean the water by oyster filtration. The boardwalk will be an ‘edu-tainment’ path that informs the public about the environmental improvement.
